On september 10 2006 we organized the first familyreunion of the Verroken, Verhoken and Verhoeke family.
The first contacts were made during a cosy breakfast in open air at the brasserie Ellezelloise and afterwards we walked to the de le Roke forest.

On our way back to the brasserie we marched up the steep hill to the roke, the very place to which we all owe our family name.
In restaurant "De Koetse" in Kluisbergen, the Verrokens of the different branches had the chance of learning to know each other better.

At the end of the festivities, we all agreed to organize a reunion every two years.
So we propose sunday september 7 2008 as date for the second familyreunion of the Verroken, Verhoken and Verhoeke family.
Everybody who is named Verroken, Verhoken or Verhoeke or who's mother or grandmother has one of these names is invited to this familyreunion.

The very enthousiastic reactions we received after the familyreunions in 2006 and 2008, were a real encouragement to organize a familygathering again.
We therefore are very proud to invite you –this is : everybody who is called Verroken, Verhoken or Verhoeke, or who’s mother or grandmother have this name, and their partners and children- to the :
third big familyreunion of the Verroken, Verhoken and Verhoeke families on Sunday october 10 2010
The program hasn’t been conceived entirely, but we foresee the following activities :
We gather at 08:45 a.m. at the “Brasserie Ellezelloise” which you find in Ellezelles, in the rue Guinaumont 75.
After a simple breakfast and a bit of genealogical information we will start a morning promenade at 10 a.m. towards the bos de le Roke in Flobecq, the place we owe our name to.
Comfortable marching shoes are advised, but not necessary.
The end of our walk is the Brasserie Ellezelloise, where you can of course taste or buy a home brewn product.
For those who can walk only with great difficulty we’ll organize a shuttle service to the bos de le Roke.
From the brasserie Ellezelloise, we will all drive to Melden and visit a few places where our ancestors lived.
Around 02 p.m. we will take the aperitif in castle domain “St.-Hubert”, situated Fiertelmeers 76 9600 Ronse, followed by a festive dinner, dessert and coffee.
